This is my overall photo of my Squirtle.
My final project was a Squirtle, I used the needle tool to make most of the design on it. It took me every day in class to finish making it.
The good parts of my project were the texture of his shell because I tried the hardest on the shell.
I would have done a better job glazing the project because my glaze ran and made it look bad.
My theme was a creature I made this because it reminded me of my childhood.
I used form well because the whole thing is 3D and looks good. I think that having good form is important because its clay class so everything has to be 3D.
My project has good unity and movement because unity needs to be there and movement because it will make the viewer not bored.
I learned to always take your time and things will show up better and this will help me in the future because ill always take my time.
I thought of this when i saw a picture of Squirtle on the internet. I made the head first, then the top and bottom shell, then the ring around it, then i made all the arms and legs, then i made the tail and carved out the shell and face, then i stuck everything together.
I had to change the shape of the back of the head so it would fit on top of the shell.
I liked this project because we had a lot of freedom to do what we want and over the summer ill probably make some sand castles on the beach.
